If you need to cancel an appointment, all we ask is you give us at least 24 hours notice, otherwise, we may have to charge you a standard cancellation fee.
We have card facilities at all of our clinics, or you can pay via BACS, over the phone. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Caledonian Physiotherapy Ltd‘.
We ask you to provide us with your initial appointment payment in advance. This will be taken over the phone when you make your first appointment.

If you’re paying for physiotherapy yourself, then you don’t need a GP referral to make an appointment.
You’ll find our prices are competitive with other equally-qualified, private physiotherapy clinics.
We can also offer discounted rates to members of sports clubs and corporate sports and health schemes; so if you’re the organiser or a member of one, please email us for more details: [email protected] or call us on 0131 478 4646 and we’ll be happy to help.
To receive the discounted rate, cardholders just need to let us know which kind of card they have, when they make their appointment, and to bring the card with them when they come for their treatment.
We’re registered with all the major health insurance companies (please see the list below) which simply means that we can bill them directly for your treatment if you’re covered. Each individual insurance policy covers different treatments, so check with your insurer to see if yours includes physiotherapy and the type of physiotherapy you are after.
Your health insurance company may require a GP referral in order to pay for our treatment.
Please note that it is your responsibility to contact your insurer to find out what is required – you may also need to obtain a claim no. prior to your initial treatment. We will require all the necessary details to bill on your behalf.
Please note, if you are paying for treatment through your insurance that has an excess on your policy, you will be required to provide evidence of this excess and either pay it to us, or give credit cards details at the point of booking so that this can be taken if and when required at a later date. Please feel free to ask for more details by phoning or emailing us.
Insurance companies we are registered with include: BUPA, Aviva, AXA PPP, Vitality Health, Simply Health, Nuffield, Allianz, Standard Life, Royal Sun & Alliance/First Assist, Remedi, Cigna, Medisure, and Western Provident Association.
Please note that this is an ever-expanding list so check with us if your insurance company is not here (there’s a good chance that we’re already registered with them or can arrange to do so).
